  1. Looking at these aerial photos you can see the progression from when we started this summer to the current state of the project. The first picture shows perimeter sheet piles going in. They are sheets of steel 48 ft long that connect at the ends and form a barrier so the dirt can be removed. You can see them in the middle of the parking lot, they are very large. After the exterior wall was completed around 20 ft of dirt needed to be removed to get to the bottom of site. Several ft of rock needed to be placed so the crane can move around on the site to drive pilings. One of the areas that need pilings is the tower crane, it needs a solid base to stand on, once that cap is completed the crane will be set. The crane is the most important piece of equipment on the job, you cannot build without it.
